If you just brought a Nissan Rogue, you may have trouble changing the windshield wiper blades. The reason is that the top edge of the hood is blocking you while you try to lift the wiper arms up. Read below for step-by-step instruction on how to keep the wiper arms up:

1. Turn on the vehicle ignition.

2. Move the wiper switch up 2 times quickly (photo 1).

3. The wiper arms are at service position now and the hood is no longer in the way.

4. (optional) You can turn off the ignition for now.

5. Lift the wiper arms to up position (photo 2)

6. Change the wiper blades and then return the wiper arms back to service position (touching the windshield).

7. Turn the vehicle ignition back on if you turn it off before.

8. Move the wiper switch up 1 times quickly, and the wiper arms will return to its original position.

   * I have used many different wipers from different brands over the years.  One of the wipers actually detached from the wiper arm and flew off while I was using it on the highway.  This is my favorite wiper (link below)
