Article:

In the United States, Daylight Saving Time starts on the second Sunday in March, when clocks are set forward by one hour at 2:00 AM local standard time, which becomes 3:00 AM local daylight time. It ends on the first Sunday in November, when clocks are set back by one hour at 2:00 AM local daylight time, which becomes 1:00 AM local standard time. This practice is designed to make better use of daylight during the evenings, and less so in the mornings.
