Welcome to Part 1 of the Citibike video series, consisting of 5 parts. In this article, I will introduce you to the general concepts of how Citibike operates. Throughout the rest of the series, I will have topics ranging from selecting a plan and choosing the right bike, to bike locking and unlocking, along with sharing helpful tips based on my personal experiences. Citibike is a bike rental program primarily available in New York City and parts of New Jersey. Furthermore, they continue to expand their service area over time. You can visit their official website here ( https://citibikenyc.com/ ). The initial step if you're interested in the program is selecting a plan, which I will  thoroughly explain in the upcoming article/video. Once you've chosen and paid for your plan, you can use the Citibike app on your smartphone to unlock a bike at any Citibike station. After your ride, simply return the bike to any Citibike station with available docking spots. Sounds simple, right?  Yes and no. While the system might appear straightforward, there are numerous hidden tricks and tips that you'll only discover once you become a part of the program and actually ride the bike yourself.
